Launch of new PID website - www.imunodeficience.cz

The primary immunodeficiency workgroup with ČSAKI (Czech society of allergology and clinical immunology) launched a new website www.imunodeficience.cz.

Currently, the website contains a list of physicians involved in the problematic of primary immunodeficiencies in the Czech Republic, several review articles and other materials for researchers and physicians attending to patients with PIDs, and will also serve as a platform for publishing reports from events and news from the field.

ESID 2016 Barcelona

Between 20-25.9.2016, several posters of researchers and doctors of the Department of Immunology were presented at the european immunodeficiency congress ESID 2016 in Barcelona, Spain.

Those were "CHHINSTRAP – CZECH NON-INTERVENTIONAL STUDY WITH RAPID PUSH ADMINISTRATION OF 20% SUBCUTANEOUS IMMUNOGLOBULIN", presented by Tomáš Milota, "INTRACELLULAR SIGNALLING AND CYTOKINE PRODUCTION IN APDS PATIENTS", presented by Adam Klocperk, and "NORMAL LEVEL OF TREC/KREC IN A 5-YEAR-OLD BOY DIAGNOSED SUBSEQUENTLY WITH IL-2R GAMMA CHAIN DEFICIENCY BY WHOLE-EXOME SEQUENCING", presented by Jana Kayserová. Professor Anna Šedivá moderated the E-Poster discussion section "CASE VIGNETTES II".

CSAC award for best publication in the category of clinical cytometry

The original paper of authors from the Department of Immunology and Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Adam Klocperk, Jana Kayserová, Ester Mejstříková, Tomáš Kalina, Anna Šedivá, entitled "Low marginal zone-like B lymphocytes and natural antibodies characterize skewed B-lymphocyte subpopulations in del22q11 DiGeorge patients" published in 2015 in the journal Clinical Immunology was awarded the best publication in the clinical cytometry category award by the board of CSAC (Czech Society of Analytical Cytometry). Congratulations!

Two papers in April issue of Clinical Immunology

Two papers from our group were published in April issue of Clinical Immunology journal(IF 3,6). In "FOCUS on FOCIS: combined chemo-immunotherapy for the treatment of hormone-refractory metastatic prostate cancer." we discuss the principles of combined chemoimmunotherapy and document its principles on a patient with metastatic prostate cancer treated at our Department. Second paper "Kinetics of dendritic cells reconstitution and costimulatory molecules expression after myeloablative allogeneic haematopoetic stem cell transplantation: implications for the development of acute graft-versus host disease." describes the krecosntitution of antigen presenting cells after bone marrow transplantation and its disturbances in acute graft versus host disease. New articel accepted for publication in Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology

New publication of the clinicians team Šedivá, Kayserová, Vernerová, Ppoloučková, Čapková, Špíšek, Bartůňková at Department of Immunology was accepted for publication in Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Title of publication is: :Anti-CD20(rituximab) treatment for atopic eczema." Our experience with the application of rituximab in two severe atopic eczema patients is described.

Klára Sochorová won 2nd place at the 4th International Conference of Postgraduate Medical Students

Klára Sochorová presented results of her study "Impaired Toll-like receptor 8-mediated IL-6 and TNF production in antigen presenting cells from patients with X-linked agammaglobulinaemia" and was awarded 2nd place among students from medical schools from Czech republic, Slovakia, Poland, Netherlands, Germany, Croatia and UK. press report
